Closing arguments slated in trial in college dorm death

SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) — Authorities say no one was seriously injured when a Norfolk Southern train struck a car in Suffolk, Virginia. The city said in a statement that an Acura sedan became stuck on train tracks in downtown Suffolk and was struck by a westbound train around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. A 26-year-old male passenger in the car was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The car's driver sustained minor injuries that did not require her to be taken to a hospital. The city says the 30-year-old driver has been issued a summons for failure to stop at a railroad grade crossing.
