LCCC nursing students participate in community health project

<p>Volunteer Appreciation Week was celebrated at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to honor more than 100 volunteers who shared over 11,500 hours with the residents this past year. A luncheon was held at Apple Tree Terrace at Newberry Estate and certificates of appreciation and gifts were presented to each volunteer. Volunteers, from left, front row, are: Cheryl Bombick, recipient of a special award for donating over 1,000 in the past year; Fran Dierolf, 30 years; Lloyd Ryman, 15 years; Bernie Luksic, 10 years and Virginia Clark, 10 years.
