Thousands watch Pittsburgh falcon feed young to fellow chick

WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 30-year-old Pennsylvania woman and her 16-year-old daughter spent Mother's Day shoplifting at Wal-Mart. The (Washington) Observer-Reporter (http://bit.ly/1UPx5wk ) says Jordan Bercik and the girl were caught by South Strabane police on Sunday. Police say Bercik and her daughter had filled the woman's purse with 19 items worth about $100. The North Charleroi woman faces charges of retail theft, corruption of minors and criminal trespass. Her daughter, who isn't being named by police, is being charged in juvenile court. Online court records don't list an attorney for Bercik. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled after she's mailed a summons with the charges.
