<p>MOOSIC &#8212; Just about 14 hours after wrapping up their fourth shutout of the season, the RailRiders were back at PNC Field on Tuesday morning during a School Day Special looking for another.</p><p>Unfortunately for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pawtucket returned the favor on Tuesday shutting out the RailRiders and handing them their fourth shut out loss this season. The Red Sox defeated SWB 3-0 for their first win in five games this season.</p><p>The RailRiders had opportunities to get on the scoreboard. In the fourth and sixth innings Pawtucket&#8217;s Henry Owens walked two to start each frame. But the lefty got out of it both times getting the next three outs. In the eighth, the RailRiders got runners on second and third with two outs, but again couldn&#8217;t capitalize stranding two in scoring position.</p><p>Overall, the RailRiders left runners on base in all but one inning only being retired 1-2-3 once and leaving a total of 11 on base in the game.</p><p>Their best chance in that span was in the sixth inning but a called double steal failed when Cesar Puello was thrown out at third. But Owens was dealing at that point only giving up three hits at that point and Pedrique was trying to generate some offense.</p><p>&#8220;In that situation when you&#8217;re facing a guy like Owens and he&#8217;s on, you gotta create something,&#8221; SWB manager Al Pedrique said. &#8220;You can&#8217;t sit back and wait for longballs, whether it&#8217;s hit and run, which we tried today or we didn&#8217;t get a chance stealing a bag. It&#8217;s gonna happen so tomorrow&#8217;s another day.&#8221;</p><p>Pawtucket took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second taking advantage of a grounder when the RailRiders couldn&#8217;t complete a double play due to a bobble by shortstop Pete Kozma to score a run.</p><p>SWB starting pitcher Kyle Haynes lasted just three innings leaving after walking a batter in the top of the fourth with a shoulder injury. He threw just 57 pitches. Pedrique said Haynes would be re-evaluated on Wednesday and the team would go from there.</p><p>&#8220;Injuries are part of the game. The bullpen was ready so no excuses there,&#8221; Pedrique said. &#8220;Everybody knows that once a game starts anything can happen in the early, middle or late. It&#8217;s too bad it happened to Haynes. He&#8217;s been working very hard and I think he&#8217;s been throwing the ball well for us.&#8221;</p><p>Conor Mullee tossed three scoreless innings and James Pazos pitched two perfect frames before Pawtucket added two in the top of the ninth against Anthony Swarzak on a RBI-double by Jantzen Witte and a triple by Sandy Leon to extend the lead to 3-0.</p><p>Notes: Rob Refsnyder singled in the bottom of the first to extend his hitting streak to 14 games, the longest current stretch in the International League, and moved his streak of getting on base to 18 straight games. &#8230;Donovan Solano went 3 for 4 as the leadoff hitter.
