KITTANNING, Pa. (AP) — A prosecutor told a western Pennsylvania man "you can run but you can't hide" from evidence that he killed a woman shortly after escaping from a county jail last year. Armstrong County Assistant District Attorney Katie Charlton made those comments Tuesday in opening the trial of Robert Crissman Jr. The 38-year-old defendant is accused of running away from the Armstrong County jail on July 30, only to kill 55-year-old Tammy Long who lived nearby. Authorities say Crissman stole her boyfriend's pickup truck, which he used to flee from police until his arrest the next day. Defense attorney Charles Pascal urged the jury not to jump to conclusions before hearing the evidence. But Charlton says the evidence includes his missing shoelace around Long's neck and her blood on his clothes.
