<p>WEST PITTSTON &#8212; A concerned parent contacted the borough police on Monday to report an incident that occurred at about 7:43 a.m. that day involving her child and a suspicious man.</p><p>The parent told police that her daughter was walking to the Wyoming Area Secondary Center when a man in a pickup pulled up to a stop sign at Susquehanna Avenue and Erie Street and said to the girl, &#8220;Hey, hun, I think you need a ride to school.&#8221; After she declined, the male then said, &#8220;Are you sure? I&#8217;ll give you a ride.&#8221; The young female continued to walk to school, police said.</p><p>The girl said the man was operating a newer, dark-blue pick-up truck and she described him as being in his 40s, with short brown hair and wearing an unknown color T-shirt. The male was facing east on Erie Street while stopped at the stop sign.</p><p>Borough police ask anyone with information to call 911 and advise residents to immediately call 911 to report any suspicious activity.</p><style>
