<p><strong>1965 &#8212; </strong>Daniel Halloran was the grand winner at the Our Lady of Peace School science fair. His entry was titled, &#8220;Chemical Formation and Analyses of Microscopic Crystals.</p><p>&#8220;Danny, an eighth grade student at the school, plans to continue his studies at Cathedral High School, Scranton, in the science course,&#8221; read a Journal article. &#8220;Winning top prizes in science projects is nothing new to the boys in the Halloran family. George, the eldest, won a prize in every fair in which he ever had an exhibit. He won the top award in each of the four years while at Cathedral High School. Edward is following along and has already won two awards at Cathedral.&#8221;</p><p><strong>1966 &#8212; </strong>The beginning of May met with an unseasonable snow fall.</p><p>&#8220;A Touch of Snow &#8211; A Touch of Spring,&#8221; read the headline over a front page photo by John Holmes of a mock orange bush layered in snow.</p><p>&#8220;Front lighting brings out contrast of young leaves pushing their way skyward with snow weighting them down,&#8221; read the caption.&#8221;</p><p><strong>1967 &#8212; </strong>Colombo Construction was digging up State Street in a joint project by Pennsylvania Gas and Water and the Commonwealth Telephone Co. to lay underground lines in Clarks Summit.</p><style>
