W. PITTSTON - Penn State Extension is offering a low-cost class, &#8220;Dining with Diabetes: A Program for Adults with Diabetes and their Families,&#8221; to teach those with type II diabetes how to manage diabetes.The program includes four classes and participants will receive recipes and educational materials. Each class, which is taught by Mary R. Ehret, registered dietitian, offers ideas for new recipes and physical activity. Discussions will be held on how to manage diabetes and lab tests will be offered to measure hemoglobin A1C and blood pressure.Classes will provide nutrition education, daily meal plans and an opportunity to connect with others who are living with type II diabetes.The program will be held from 10 a.m. - noon Wednesday, May 18; Tuesday, May 24 and Wednesdays, June 1 and June 8, at Penn State Extension, 16 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston.
