State, national average gas prices climbed slightly overnight

<p>Sunshine is expected for the rest of the week, but scattered thunderstorms are also in the forecast.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.</p><p>Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 84. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 59.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. The high will be near 85.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but higher amounts could fall in thunderstorms.
