<p>DURYEA &#8212; Mr. Edward Anthony &#8220;Ace&#8221; Winn Sr., 83, of Duryea, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at his home.</p><p>Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Guntkowski) Winn and the stepson of the late Floyd Winn. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and Lackawanna Junior College. He was the former owner and operator of Winn&#8217;s Garage, Duryea, which is now run by his sons, Edward Jr. and Jeffrey. He was a former police officer in Duryea and formerly worked for the Luzerne County Sheriff&#8217;s Department.</p><p>Edward enjoyed collecting military war memorabilia and had one of the largest collections in the country. He loved to travel extensively and frequented gun shows throughout the United States. He was a warm and thoughtful person with a huge heart. He was respected and admired for his generosity and kindness.</p><p>He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Winn.</p><p>Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, the former Mary Lou Cavanaugh; daughters, Debra Abent and her husband, Frank, of Duryea, Cynthia Scoda and her husband, David, of Duryea; sons, Edward Winn Jr. and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Duryea, Jeffrey Winn and his wife, Jennifer, of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Frank Abent, Melissa Galanakis, David Scoda, Stephanie Roscioli, Edward Winn III, Brandon Winn, Zackery Winn and Ava Winn; great-grandchildren, Yanni and Ari Galanakis and Joseph and Giavianna Roscioli; several nieces and nephews.</p><p>The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers who took such good care of Edward.</p><p>Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
