Hanover Twp. man apprehended for failure to appear in court on eight DUI charges

<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; Attempts to elude police officers Sunday led to the arrest of resident Greg G. Tinde, officials said.</p><p>Hanover Township police said that at 9:45 a.m., officers attempted to stop Tinde, 49, for a traffic violation on West Liberty Street. Driving a black 1987 Nissan Pulsar, Tinde fled from police at a &#8220;high rate of speed west along West Liberty Street,&#8221; according to a news release.</p><p>Officers were able to later locate Tinde at his home, the release said. He allegedly admitted fleeing from the police, stating he was &#8220;scared.&#8221;</p><p>Tinde was taken into custody and arraigned via video by Magistraterial District Judge John Hasay in Shickshinny. He was lodged in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail.</p><style>
