WILLIAMSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A 15-year-old Pennsylvania faces a preliminary hearing on charges he fatally shot his 18-year-old brother because both were interested in the same girl. Dakota Thornton has been jailed and charged as an adult with criminal homicide and possessing an instrument of crime since shortly after the March 30 shooting. Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico says Thornton shot his brother, Dominick, with a .410-gauge shotgun. A criminal complaint says Thornton told police he "shot and killed his brother over the fact that he was romantically interested in his brother's girlfriend." Authorities say the brothers lived together with their grandmother in Williamstown, where the shooting occurred. That's about 30 miles northeast of Harrisburg. Thornton's attorney didn't immediately comment before Wednesday's hearing.
