Northwest Area Senior High and Middle School announce the Honor Roll for the 2015/2016 school year

<p>His arrival in Wilkes-Barre this week has certain people &#8220;All Shook Up.&#8221;</p><p>Claiming to be an illegitimate son of the King of Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Roll, the guy known as Elvis Aaron Presley Jr. brought his singing act &#8211; and accompanying controversy &#8211; to the Boscov&#8217;s auditorium for a series of free shows marking the department store&#8217;s grand reopening.</p><p>Curiosity-seekers and fans of the late (for all we know) superstar have a few more opportunities to hear and see for themselves, as the coif-sporting, scarf-wearing, lady-swooning crooner does his best to satisfy &#8220;Suspicious Minds.&#8221;</p><p>Does E. Jr. have the voice? The lip? The gyrating hip? The requisite bit of DNA?</p><p>Is he, or isn&#8217;t he?</p><p>Progeny? Or imposter?</p><p>Based on comments about &#8220;young&#8221; Presley posted to the Times Leader&#8217;s news articles, this much is certain: He &#8211; like the chart-topper of the 1950s, &#8217;60s and &#8217;70s &#8211; can get temperatures rising.</p><p>&#8220;This clown was exposed as a fraud years ago,&#8221; wrote one commenter. &#8220;His entire story is made up. &#8230; He&#8217;s delusional. It&#8217;s bloody NONSENSE!&#8221;</p><p>Others echoed a similar sentiment, seemingly suggesting this is a case of one &#8220;Devil in Disguise.&#8221;</p><p>But other online commenters stood by their man, appearing to take an &#8220;If I&#8217;m a Fool for Loving You&#8221; attitude and urging the public, &#8220;Don&#8217;t Be Cruel.&#8221; Stated one: &#8220;I&#8217;m going to tell the nonbelievers, you have a lot of nerve. You don&#8217;t even know his parents. Matter (of) fact, you don&#8217;t know him. I do. He is a fantastic person. He does sound like his dad, and he&#8217;s not a phony.&#8221;</p><p>Nothing printed in this space, no single piece of &#8220;evidence,&#8221; is likely to bridge the divide between these camps. Like Donald Trump fans and foes, it&#8217;s probably best if they agree to go &#8220;Separate Ways.&#8221;</p><p>However, it should be noted that during the early 1980s Graceland fielded several claims each month from supposed Elvis offspring. That tidbit came directly from the Internet, so it must be true. (Uh, right?)</p><p>If you are not certain what to believe, believe this: Good promoters fill seats. It was true in &#8220;Colonel Tom&#8221; Parker&#8217;s day, and it&#8217;s true today.</p><p>Viva Al Boscov.</p><style>
