Local police ‘in limbo’ as DA continues push for control of drug task force

<p>DORRANCE TWP. &#8212; Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton are searching for a woman who has been missing since Friday morning.</p><p>According to state police, the missing woman is Mary Jo Myers, 79, a resident of Dorrance Township.</p><p>State police said members of Meyers&#8217; family contacted police stating they had not heard from Meyers since Friday morning.</p><p>Family members advised that Meyers left her residence in Dorrance Township Friday at approximately 9 a.m.. The family told police she left her purse, money, identification and various medications at her residence.</p><p>State police said Meyers has been entered as a missing/endangered person.</p><p>On Saturday morning at approximately 8:55 a.m., police said Meyers&#8217; vehicle was located in the Berwick area.</p><p>State police are currently conducting a search of the area in an attempt to locate Meyers.</p><p>Police described Meyers as a white female about 5 feet tall and 120 pounds.</p><p>Anyone with information about her is asked to call state police at 570-459-3890.</p><style>
