General Hospital earns platinum award for donor awareness

<p>Keith M. Swetz, MD, MA, FACP, FAAH, PM, section chief and medical director of palliative care at the Birmingham VA Medical Center and an associate professor at University of Alabama School of Medicine in the division of gerontology, geriatrics and palliative care, was honored with the 2016 Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Award, in the early-career physician category.</p><p>Dr. Swetz received his master&#8217;s degree in bioethics and health policy from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Swetz received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2003, and is a 1995 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and Albright College in Reading.</p><p>He is the son of Ann Marie and the late Lawrence Swetz, of Plains Township.</p><style>
