<p>BUTLER TWP. &#8211; Reconstruction of the SR 8005 E Ramp crossing over Interstate 80 westbound in Butler Township is scheduled to begin the week of June 27, officials announced Tuesday.</p><p>The construction project will begin the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation&#8217;s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, and will result in single-lane traffic. A short-term detour of westbound I-80 traffic will be used for occasional nighttime work between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. with traffic detoured to I-81 NB, SR 3007 and SB I-81, according to PennDOT.</p><p>The work, contracted to Clearwater Construction, is expected to be complete by November, PennDOT officials said.</p><p>PennDOT describes the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project as a public-private partnership between the agency and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners, under which Plenary Walsh will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years. This approach will allow PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on motorists, officials said.</p><p>The crossing was built in 1965 and averages over 5,900 vehicles a day, according to PennDOT.</p><style>
