Police use ground-penetrating radar to search for man missing since ‘68

<p>After five years of running, a foot chase and an attempt to hide in a body of water, 31-year-old Joshua Yuhas is in custody after being captured in Florida.</p><p>On Friday morning, the Martin County (Fla.) Sheriff&#8217;s Warrants Unit, working in the capacity of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, tracked and captured Yuhas, formerly of Kingston.</p><p>Authorities have been searching for Yuhas since 2011, following his arrest in connection to a violent robbery of a convenience store clerk.</p><p>According to police reports:</p><p>In 2010, Yuhas and an accomplice tried to buy cigarettes at a Kingston Gas Mini Mart and became enraged at the clerk when the credit card they were using was declined. The pair then jumped the counter and began to beat the clerk. Yuhas along with his accomplice, then stole 26 cartons of cigarettes and caused $15,000 in damage to the store.</p><p>Martin County detectives received a tip that Yuhas was living in the area. As detectives waited for Yuhas Friday morning, he attempted to run and hide by jumping in a pond, but the detectives dove in after him and captured him.</p><style>

Kingston fugitive arrested Friday morning after five years on the run
