The RailRiders took the series with a 6-4 road win over Syracuse on Tuesday.Austin&#8217;s three hits produced two runs and three RBI.The Railriders extended their International League North division lead to 1 1/2 games over Lehigh Valley and Rochester. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won for the eighth time in the past 10 games.Crestwood product Matt Wotherspoon pitched a two-inning save. He gave up a run in the eighth and tossed a scoreless ninth for his third save.A three-run third inning opened the floodgates for the RailRiders. Tied at one apiece, a pair of walks brought up Gary Sanchez, who ripped a single through the middle to score Ben Gamel for the lead. Austin followed with a two-run double to right to make it a 4-1 advantage.Austin hit a solo home run &#8212; his seventh of the season &#8212; for a 6-1 lead in the fifth inning.Kyle Haynes had a quality start on the mound. He scattered six hits and three runs in seven innings.
