Isolated areas of traffic congestion reported in the Wyoming Valley

<p>Thunderstorms are possible in the Wyoming Valley as the week comes to a close, but sunshine is expected into the holiday weekend.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 58 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.</p><p>Areas of dense fog are possible before 10 a.m. this morning &#8212; otherwise, sunny skies are expected throughout the remainder of the day. Today&#8217;s high will be near 83.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 62.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will round out the week on Friday, and showers and thunderstorms are likely after 2 p.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 81.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, and showers and thunderstorms are likely before midnight. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 57.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 79. Clear skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 57.</p><p>Sunny skies are expected on Sunday, with a high near 83. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 59.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are expected for Independence Day, with a high near 85.
