<p>Attorney Elizabeth A. White, of the law firm of Marshall, Parker &amp; Weber, with offices located in Williamsport, Jersey Shore, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, has been awarded the designation of Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation under authorization of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.</p><p>Attorney White, of Loyalsock, who received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, joins a group of less than 50 lawyers in Pennsylvania and approximately 400 lawyers in the United States who have received this status.</p><p>To become certified in elder law, a lawyer must satisfy high standards to demonstrate thorough education, experience and knowledge about the unique legal, financial and social issues that encompass the areas of elder law and special needs planning. In addition to meeting these requirements, a CELA must pass a day-long exam and receive the recommendation of other elder law attorneys as to the attorney&#8217;s ethical and competent representation of clients.</p><style>
