<p>Alexander W. Gallagher has been promoted by the United States Navy to the rank of Lieutenant during a ceremony at the San Diego Naval Base. Lt. Gallagher is the son of Paul and Lizabeth Gallagher, of Dallas, and a graduate of Dallas High School. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia on a Navy ROTC scholarship and was awarded a degree in chemical engineering. Lt. Gallagher continued his education at the Navy Navigator School in Newport, Rhode Island and is currently navigator on the USS Milwaukee, one of the Navies newest ships and is based in San Diego, California.</p><style>
