<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/563186/wilkes-barre-man-charged-in-stabbing-death-of-kurt-swan" target="_blank">A man charged with stabbing a local homeless man and dumping his body over an embankment </a>allegedly held a knife to his wife&#8217;s throat on at least two occasions, court documents say.</p><p>A request for a protection-from-abuse order filed in 2009 by Kimberley Holtslander, of Wilkes-Barre, describes a bevy of alleged threats and abuses she claimed came at her husband&#8217;s hands, including a vow that she &#8220;will have a slow painful death.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;He has told me life in jail would not bother him because he would make it worth it,&#8221; she wrote.</p><p>She went on to claim Daniel Holtslander put a knife to her throat twice the prior year and stated he had &#8220;held me upside down for extended periods of time in the middle of the night.&#8221; He broke her hand on Aug. 28, 2009, but fled before police arrived, she said.</p><p>In another alleged incident, she claimed he tried to inject her with their child&#8217;s autism medication.</p><p>Daniel Holtslander, 38, of Wilkes-Barre, was charged late Thursday with criminal homicide after he allegedly admitted he stabbed Kurt Swan, 49, with a pair of knives and burned the homeless man&#8217;s bloodied clothes. He said he dumped Swan&#8217;s body over an embankment near the Kmart at Mark Plaza in Edwardsville where authorities discovered it June 25.</p><p>Kimberly Holtslander stated her husband&#8217;s threats of violence continued even as he was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in 2009.</p><p>&#8220;He is calling my friend and verbalizing that he is going to kill me and that I will have a slow painful death,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;He also stated to me that he would find me within a 1,000 mile radius and kill me.&#8221;</p><p>Kimberly Holtslander indicated she and Daniel Holtslander were married in 2006 and have two sons. Records show she was granted sole legal custody of the children on Nov. 28, 2012. The couple&#8217;s current marital status was unclear Friday, though no divorce paperwork could be located through court records.</p><p>Attempts to contact Kimberly Holtslander at two phone numbers listed on PFA filings were unsuccessful as both numbers appeared to be disconnected.</p><p>The handwriting was illegible on three other PFA applications filed against Daniel Holtslander by Kimberly Holtslander between 2009 and 2011.</p><p>A fourth PFA application, the most recent, was filed in November 2012 by Tammy Segear, of Wilkes-Barre, who stated in the document that he had broken into her home in the night after she broke up with him.</p><p>Reached by phone Friday, Segear denied filing a PFA against Holtslander and declined further comment.</p><style>
