<p>The aromas of greasy potato pancakes, fried dough and an array of other local picnic delicacies are filling church and fire department grounds throughout Luzerne County and all of Northeastern Pennsylvania these weekends, as summer bazaar season is in full swing.</p><p>Our photographers stopped at three local favorites this weekend &#8212; St. Barbara Parish Bazaar in Exeter, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Festival in Swoyersville and St. Nicholas Church Bazaar in Wilkes-Barre &#8212; to check out the eats, games and entertainment.</p><p>While the games ran the gambit from the traditional duck pond and bingo to the more modern &#8220;Angry Birds&#8221; birdie toss, food menus offered more diverse dishes as well, as the traditional American hot dogs and hamburgers and the Eastern European pierogies, and potato pancakes in some parishes made room for South American fare such as Mexican molotes and tacos.</p><p>Other bazaars this past weekend included the Mountain Top Firefighters Bazaar in Fairview Township, Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Hanover Township and Holy Name of Jesus Parish Picnic in West Hazleton.</p><p>Get your bazaar on next weekend at the Germania Hose Company Festival in Duryea, St. Maria Goretti Parish Festival in Laflin, and St. Paul Summer Fest in Dallas.
