GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A man who fatally shot his friend in a Pennsylvania tattoo parlor after an argument over money will spend 16 to 32 years in prison. Defense attorney Patrick Thomassey says the lesson in this case is "guns are bad." Thomassey says his client, 45-year-old Christopher Patterson, and the victim, 43-year-old Kevin Croney, likely would have fought and then made up the next day — except both were armed. But Westmoreland County Assistant District Attorney Larry Koenig says the dispute at Croney's True Image Tattoo Studio in New Kensington in 2015 was over before Patterson fired, though he claimed Croney had reached for his gun. Patterson was convicted of third-degree murder in March and was sentenced Monday.
