GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A man will spend 16 to 32 years in prison for shooting his friend after an argument over money in the Pennsylvania tattoo parlor owned by the victim. Defense attorney Patrick Thomassey said the lesson in this case is "guns are bad." Thomassey says his client, 45-year-old Christopher Patterson and the victim, Kevin Croney, likely would have fought and made up the next day — except both were also armed. But Westmoreland County Assistant District Attorney Larry Koenig says the dispute at Croney's True Image Tattoo Studio in New Kensington was over before Patterson fired, though he claimed Croney had reached for his gun. Patterson was convicted of third-degree murder in March for the shooting which occurred a year earlier and sentenced Monday. Croney was 43.
