Police investigate alleged theft of $345 worth of merchandise from Macy’s

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia police say a predator has been attacking female prostitutes in recent months, and the last attack turned deadly. Police Capt. James Clark tells KYW-TV (http://cbsloc.al/2a7x5Zz ) that the man beat a woman with a brick and stabbed her after making a sexual deal Saturday night. The woman tried to run away, but collapsed and later died. Police are reviewing video from surveillance cameras in the area of the latest attack, but have yet to identify the suspect. They believe the same man beat and sexually assaulted two or three other women since April. All were working as prostitutes in the city's Kensington section, and were white women in their early 30s.
