PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh man who previously served a prison term for spraying graffiti on more than 125 properties has been ordered held on 40 charges of criminal mischief for the same crime. The Post-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/2aBBFjb ) 30-year-old Daniel Montano faces another trial for tagging several city-owned properties following Thursday's ruling. Among the buildings allegedly damaged by Montano include an East Liberty building that was once the police department's investigations branch office. Det. Alphonso Sloan testified that he recognized Montano's graffiti "style" from prior incidents. Montano served a 2½- to 5-year sentence for causing $700,000 in damage to properties over several years. Police say a search of Montano's property turned up 197 spray paint cans, sketch books and "graffiti paraphernalia."
