SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — A teenager has been ordered to stand trial in the stabbing death of a woman in a northeastern Pennsylvania alley. The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (http://bit.ly/2a7tHgF ) reports that a Lackawanna County judge ruled Friday that there was enough evidence to send the case against the 16-year-old defendant to county court. Authorities allege that she and 18-year-old Kayla VanWert had argued over social media, and a confrontation in an alley left the victim dead. After arraignment last month, the defendant told reporters that she had acted in self-defense. Defense attorney Chris Osborne argued for dismissal of an evidence-tampering count, which prosecutors said they filed because the defendant changed out of bloody clothes and showered.
