Ninth annual NEPA PrideFest gets more interactive at Montage Mountain

<p>AVOCA &#8212; Pennsylvania&#8217;s representative in the <a href="https://www.jetsetmag.com/model-search/" target="_blank">Miss Jetset Magazine 2016</a> contest has made it to the online competition&#8217;s top 25, but the next eliminations come at midnight Aug. 5 and Avoca&#8217;s Teresa Ann Ceccoli needs to climb into the top 10 from No. 17 if she wants to advance.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve had support through family and friends and I&#8217;ve had a couple of local businesses donate, but I think the problem that I&#8217;m running into is that a lot of it&#8217;s done through Facebook,&#8221; Ceccoli said. Other contestants &#8220;have big Instagram accounts or Facebook pages. One of the girls I saw has like 82,000 followers. That&#8217;s a lot of followers.</p><p>Anyone can cast a free vote, one daily, for his or her model of choice through the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/JetsetOnline/?fref=nf" target="_blank">publication&#8217;s Facebook Page</a>. Votes can also be added <a href="https://www.jetsetmag.com/model-search/vote/teresa-ann" target="_blank">through donations</a>. Donations made in a contestant&#8217;s name count as one vote per $1.</p><p><a href="https://www.timesleader.com/features/569035/avoca-resident-represents-pennsylvania-in-cover-model-search" target="_blank">The surgical tech and labor doula student models and manages a band in her free time;</a> thanks to the contest, self-promotion has been added to her hobbies.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve had some cards made up that have the info as how people could vote and donate,&#8221; Ceccoli said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been passing the cards out to local businesses; some convenience stores, restaurants, bars, stuff like that.&#8221;</p><p>Ceccoli would like to win the competition and jump-start her public speaking career, but if the end of the competition comes Thursday, she&#8217;s still happy to have made it to the top 25.</p><p>&#8220;I was actually really surprised that I had made it this far, I mean, winning PA was the biggest shock,&#8221; Ceccoli said. &#8220;Even still, being in the top 25 pretty much across the U.S. &#8230; it&#8217;s pretty good. I&#8217;m really happy I&#8217;ve made it this far and I&#8217;ve had the support of friends and family. I&#8217;m still in shock over it.&#8221;</p><style>
