No charges related to abuse allegations at Florida school

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida investigators will not charge anyone after a two-year investigation into allegations of murder and sexual abuse at a now-shuttered reform school for boys. State Attorney Glenn Hess concluded in late May there wasn't any way to prosecute any alleged crimes because either there was not enough evidence or too much time had passed to charge anyone. The Associated Press on Wednesday obtained a copy of Hess' letter explaining to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement why the cases could not move forward. Reports summarizing the investigations were also released. The existence of the investigation was disclosed during the first meeting of a task force charged with dealing with the legacy of the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys, located 60 miles west of Tallahassee.
