Husband of Ohio woman hurt by rock dropped on car kills self

<p>&#8220;You have sacrificed nothing and no one!&#8221;</p><p>Those words of concern, sorrow and contempt from the father of a fallen Muslim American soldier, who sacrificed his life on behalf of his military comrades, to the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, brought resounding applause at the recent Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.</p><p>This one man&#8217;s statement &#8211; amid hundreds of eloquent dignitaries and ordinary people who addressed this convention&#8217;s audience &#8211; surely stirred the hearts of many Americans.</p><p>It capsulizes exactly what it means to many foreign families who have fled the jaws of Islamic terrorists, and sought escape and freedom, for a new life in the United States.</p><p>This grieving family told a tragic, heartfelt story of losing their brave military son while he defended his comrades and his country; their story certainly tugged at the heartstrings of every person hearing of their personal tragedy. This proud father did not criticize the country that their son represented, but instead challenged the foul-mouthed Republican Trump, who never served his nation&#8217;s military and never allowed any of his family to serve either.</p><p>How could someone so deeply mourning the loss of his son show us, with compassion, how to put a radical, insult-hurling, political con artist in his place?</p><p>Ask anyone who watched this speech, or any of the many convention attendees, which of the speakers on that special evening was the most moving, and I&#8217;m certain this father of a fallen soldier would top the list! He spoke reverently about his son and his family&#8217;s loss. But his sorrow turned to challenges that not many people could match at that Democratic convention.</p><p>Thank you, sir, for your eloquent testimony; many Americans not only appreciate your son&#8217;s brave sacrifice, but also share your contempt and concern for a blasphemous tyrannical prophet of doom who is trying to undermine American values.</p><p>God bless you and your family, and we&#8217;re proud to call you Americans!</p><p><strong>Maryann Sivilich</strong></p><p>Dallas</p><style>
