17-year-old boy reported missing from Wilkes-Barre area

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A city man is facing charges after allegedly throwing a loaded gun at an officer on Conyngham Avenue early Friday morning.</p><p>At 12:26 a.m., police said an officer responded to the scene after receiving reports of a man creating a traffic hazard by walking in the roadway. Upon arrival, the officer observed Musa Farrakhan, 33, holding a book and a pistol, according to police. When the officer tried to talk to Farrakhan, Farrakhan threw the pistol and book at the officer, police said.</p><p>Police said the firearm was a Jimenez semi-automatic .380-caliber pistol, which was loaded with six rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber.</p><p>Police said Farrakhan&#8217;s criminal history revealed that he is a convicted felon, barred from possessing firearms. Farrakhan was also found to be on probation through Luzerne County, police said.</p><p>Farrakhan was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangering and persons prohibited from carrying a firearm. He was remanded to Luzerne County Correctional Facility.</p><style>
