<p>LARKSVILLE &#8212; A domestic dispute that ended in a standoff ended peacefully on Saturday morning, according to police.</p><p>Police said at 12:20 a.m., two officers responded to a residence on March Street for a report of a dispute between a male and a female.</p><p>Upon their arrival, they said, they learned that the male had a knife and there were children in the home.</p><p>Police convinced the armed man to let the children leave.</p><p>At this point Larksville officers received back up assistance Plymouth, Edwardsville, Courtdale, Luzerne, Forty Fort and Wilkes-Barre City emergency responders in controlling the scene, keeping the children safe and reasoning with the man to give up peacefully.</p><p>The male was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for an involuntary mental health commitment.</p><style>
