Move Better opens in Shavertown

GREENTOWN - Attention all active and non-active military members! Promised Land State Park is hosting a Veteran&#8217;s Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Falls Picnic Pavilion in the main day use area of Promised Land State Park.From 10 a.m. to noon there will be archery and from noon to 2 p.m. kayaking. Self guided scavenger hunts for children will be held and all fees are waived for this event.Snacks and beverages are provided and you can bring a lunch to barbecue on our barbecue grill at the pavilion. Charcoal, spatula and tongs will be provided.
