Police: Ex 'went off deep end' killed wife, self at her home

SARVER, Pa. (AP) — Police say a western Pennsylvania man "went off the deep end" when he found out his ex-wife was planning to date again and fatally shot her before killing himself. The Butler County coroner says 43-year-old Lee Ann Negley was shot several times while 44-year-old Todd Negley shot himself once in in the head. The couple has two daughters, who weren't home at the time, but usually lived with their mother. The bodies were found about 9 a.m. Thursday by Lee Ann Negley's mother when she arrived to pick up her daughter for a medical appointment. Buffalo Township Sgt. Rick Healey says Todd Negley fired the shots about 6 a.m., when his ex would have been expecting him to return with their daughters. Lee Ann Negley taught special education at South Buffalo Elementary school.
