WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a Pennsylvania hospice nurse stole a dying cancer patient's medication and blamed it on a sore neck. The Citizens' Voice in Wilkes-Barre (WILKS'-ba-ree) reports (http://bit.ly/2bAYgb7) Andrea Gosiewski told authorities she had her own pains and that the medicine wouldn't have saved the man anyway. Investigators say they also found a methamphetamine lab at 39-year-old Gosiewski's Ashley borough home. She was ordered on Wednesday to Luzerne County Correctional Facility. Investigators first found the woman passed out in a vehicle outside a drugstore Monday with a bag of liquid hydromorphone and a used syringe. Authorities claim Gosiewski stole the leftover medication at least five times and used it to get high. Erwine Home Health Care says Gosiewski had been fired.
