PITTSBURGH (AP) — Officials say a Minnesota-based group of health care providers will give support — including medical opinions and training — to a hospital in Pittsburgh under a newly announced partnership. St. Clair Hospital agreed to partner with the five-year-old Mayo Clinic Care Network. The group will advise the hospital on management and treating disease. The partnership was announced on Wednesday. Officials say doctors can ask the group for opinions on difficult diagnoses. Those opinions would rely on medical record reviews and could someday involve video consultations. St. Clair is the 41st organization to join the group. The yearlong agreement automatically renews each year. The hospital declined to share financial details of the partnership. Officials say patients won't pay extra for the consultations, which became available on Wednesday.
