Bangladesh police kill alleged militant tied to Dhaka attack

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A man is dead after suffering multiple gun-shot wounds during a shooting on North Sherman Street Friday night, police said.</p><p>According to police, who responded to an area near 65 N. Sherman St. at about 7:50 p.m., the victim exited his SUV, walked north and then returned to his vehicle after being shot in the torso and legs.</p><p>An unnamed man approached the man and then reported to neighbors that the victim had been shot and advised them to call an ambulance.</p><p>The man who advised neighbors of the shooting then left the area on foot, police said.</p><p>The victim was transported to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center trauma unit. He was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m., according to police.</p><p>Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.</p><p>An investigation initiated by the Wilkes-Barre Police Department Detective Division is continuing with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Services Unit in Wyoming and the Luzerne County District Attorney&#8217;s Office, police said.</p><p>Police are looking for a black male with a Jamaican accent and dreadlocks. They emphasized the man was a witness to the shooting and not a suspect.</p><p>Anyone with any information concerning the incident is asked to contact the Wilkes-Barre Police Detective Division at 570 208-4225 and ask for Detective Jensen or Detective Yelland.</p><p><em>Times Leader staff writer Brigid Edmunds contributed to this report.</em></p><style>
