PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say a driver intentionally struck a woman with a vehicle, and then beat her to death with a shovel in Philadelphia. It happened Sunday night. Police say the unidentified woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A motive for the attack remains unclear. Police say an arrest has been made. No other information was immediately available.
