Wilkes-Barre man who threw box of ferrets into river sentenced

<p>Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Luzerne County will hold its inaugural CASAblanca Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Public Square, Wilkes-Barre. The evening promises to be a night of elegance and generosity with exciting casino tables, delicious cuisine and inspiring stories of CASA children and their advocates.
