MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A deputy western Pennsylvania fire chief is facing charges after authorities alleged that he pulled over a motorcyclist, took the driver's information and told him to expect a citation in the mail. Forty-six-year-old George Gerstacker was charged Tuesday with impersonating a police officer and official oppression. Officers investigating a report of a motorcycle passing cars at high speed weren't able to find anything but then found out that the motorcyclist had reported that he had been pulled over by someone he wasn't sure was an officer. Police allege that Gerstacker used flashing lights to make the traffic stop. He's been temporarily suspended from his Monroeville fire station pending an internal investigation. Court documents don't list an attorney for Gerstacker and a listed number for him couldn't be found Wednesday.
