Our Opinion: Affiliate yourself with political ‘party’ of your own making, but be sure to register

Citing progress in talks, Dallas teachers delay strike to Oct. 25

<p>I am a veteran and a retired police officer, and I am very upset about Colin Kaepernick&#8217;s disrespect and disdain for the &#8220;Star-Spangled Banner&#8221; and the police.</p><p>He should visit Arlington, Gettysburg, Normandy and other military cemeteries, and view the gravesites of the men and women who gave their lives for their country and the &#8220;Stars and Stripes,&#8221; the symbol of our great nation.</p><p>I suggest all veterans, servicemen, police officers and their families boycott the San Francisco 49ers&#8217; games.</p><p>If Mr. Kaepernick has so much disrespect for the good-old USA and our grand old flag, he should move to another country.
