AAA: Average gas prices hold steady for second night in a row

<p>Rain is expected to soak the Wyoming Valley into the weekend, and some of the showers could be heavy at times.</p><p>According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, locally heavy showers are expected Thursday and into Thursday night. Around one inch of total rainfall is expected, but some localized higher amounts are possible if thunderstorms develop.</p><p>If heavier rain does occur, poor drainage and urban flooding could be possible.</p><p>No watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne County.</p><p><strong>The forecast</strong></p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 51 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.</p><p>Areas of fog are possible before 11 a.m. today &#8212; otherwise, cloudy skies will gradually clear as the day progresses. The high will be near 74.</p><p>Cloudy skies are expected tonight, and showers are likely after 2 a.m. Up to half an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 57.</p><p>Showers are expected on Thursday, along with possible thunderstorms after noon. Up to three quarters of an inch of rain could fall, and the high will be near 65.</p><p>Cloudy skies will carry over into Thursday night, and showers will continue to be likely along with a possible thunderstorm. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 58.</p><p>Showers will round out the week on Friday, but no rainfall amounts have been predicted.
