<p>The San Francisco 49ers lost more than just a game on Sunday.</p><p>The 49ers All-Pro linebacker, NaVarro Bowman, had to be helped off the field after suffering an Achilles injury in the second half of San Francisco&#8217;s 24-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.</p><p>Bowman was scheduled to have an MRI on the leg Monday, and the team announced on Twitter later in the day that the injury was season-ending.</p><p>He&#8217;s in the first year of a seven-year, $77 million contract, according to CBSsports.com The contract includes $20 million in guaranteed money, the website reports.</p><p>The former Penn State star has already battled back after a serious knee injury he suffered during the 2013 NFC Championship Game. He missed all of the 2014 season because of that injury.</p><p>Before suffering the injury Bowman had eight tackles in the game, including seven solo. He also had one sack and one tackle for a loss.</p><p>Fellow San Francisco linebacker had two solo tackles in the game.</p><p>Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee had 10 tackles, including nine solo, and one tackle for a loss. Dallas defensive lineman Jack Crawford had one tackle.</p><p>Here&#8217;s a look at how other Penn Staters did in Week 4 of the NFL season.</p><p>&#8226; New Orleans Saints linebacker Nate Stupar had nine solo tackles and recovered a fumble to set up the winning score in the Saints&#8217; 35-34 victory over the San Diego Charges. Saints linebacker Michael Mauti saw action but did not record a tackle.</p><p>&#8226; Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman John Urschel saw his first action of the season, serving a reserve on the Ravens&#8217; line in a 28-27 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Quarterback Matt McGloin served as the Raiders&#8217; backup QB for the game.</p><p>&#8226; Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson had five catches for 55 yards and one touchdown as the Jaguars defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 30-27. Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny had seven tackles &#8212; including five solo &#8212; 1.5 sacks, one tackle for a loss and two quarterback hits.</p><p>&#8226; Houston Texans defensive lineman Devon Still had three tackles, including two solo, as the Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans, 27-20. Titans defensive lineman DaQuan Jones also had three tackles, including two solo, in the game.</p><p>&#8226; Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos had seven tackles, including six solo, as the Bears defeated the Detroit Lions, 17-14. Lions defensive lineman Anthony Zettel was active for the game but did not record a tackle.</p><p>&#8226; Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Garry Gilliam started at guard in the Seahawks&#8217; 27-17 victory over the New York Jets.</p><p>&#8226; Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jesse James had two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 43-14. Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali had three tackles, including two solo, while tight end Ross Travis saw action in the game but did not record a reception.</p><p>&#8226; Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman A.Q. Shipley started for the Cardinals at center in Arizona&#8217;s 17-13 loss to the Los Angels Rams.</p><p>&#8226; Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Cameron Wake, linebacker Mike Hull and defensive back Jordan Lucas all saw action but did not record a tackle in the Dolphins 22-7 loss to the Bengals.</p><p>&#8226; New England Patriots&#8217; Chris Hogan did not record a reception as the Patriots were shut out by the Buffalo Bills, 16-0.</p><p>&#8226; Denver Broncos receiver Jordan Norwood had two receptions for 25 yards as the Broncos defeated the Buccaneers, 27- 7. Norwood also had two punt returns for 12 yards. Tampa Bay Buccaneer offensive tackle Donovan Smith was at his usual starting spot.</p><p>&#8226; Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Carl Nassib, New York Jets quarterback Christian Hackenberg, Tennessee Titans nose tackle Austin Johnson and Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Jared Odrick were inactive.</p><p>&#8226; The Philadelphia Eagles and offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski had a bye.</p><style>
