Letter to the Editor: Repair bridge in Wilkes-Barre’s Brookside neighborhood

<p>I write to express my frustration at the media-created narrative that women are a single voting bloc and are destined to vote for one candidate this November.</p><p>I will not vote for a person simply because of his or her gender. I will vote for the candidate who I believe has the right prescription for the politician-created problems this country has struggled to correct for decades.</p><p>For me, that person is Donald Trump.</p><p>Trump&#8217;s background is business. He understands that in business you do what&#8217;s necessary to thrive by finding solutions to problems. Washington, D.C., is in desperate need of a chief executive with new ideas and a new perspective. Working men and women stand to benefit from this kind of change.</p><p>Could Trump use more inclusive and appealing language? Of course. But I&#8217;m not about to let a few poorly worded statements cloud my judgment and cause me to abandon a candidate whose policies will be good for our country.</p><p>I encourage other women voters to do likewise.</p><p><strong>Lynette Villano</strong></p><p>West Pittston</p><style>
