DURYEA - The Duryea Borough Recreation Board members invite children to participate in their annual Spooky Halloween Party 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the V.F.W. A hay ride to Healey Playground will depart at 5 p.m.There will be free hot dogs, pizza, drinks and more. All children will receive a small gift.In conjunction with the Betterment Committee, there will be a contest to see who can make the best scarecrow. Start working on your scarecrow now. The scarecrows will be hung on the fence for all to see.The children will be the judge of who is the winner. Come one, come all.
