Cooper’s Waterfront Restaurant in Pittston transitioning to catering/banquet facility

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; An attempted abduction on Broad and Wyoming streets Sunday night is still under investigation, according to Chief of Police Jerry Speziale.</p><p>According to Speziale, a woman was walking down the street with her infant in a stroller shortly after 8 p.m. when she was approached by a tall, thin Hispanic man wearing black shoes, red pants, black gloves and a red hoodie, with an orange winter-style hat pulled down over his face as a mask.</p><p>After asking the woman the gender of the child, to which she did not reply, the man allegedly grabbed the stroller.</p><p>After the mother screamed, the suspect released the stroller and fled the area north on Wyoming Street, according to a press release.</p><p>There were no injuries.</p><p>Speziale said, &#8220;The department has increased patrols and the investigation is ongoing. &#8220;</p><p>Anyone with any information is asked to call 911.</p><style>
