<p>The Wyoming Valley could get a healthy dose of rain into the weekend.</p><p>According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, a slow-moving low pressure system will bring rain to the region on Thursday and into Friday. The area could see up to 2 inches of rain, but some areas could see higher amounts.</p><p>The heavy rain could cause minor poor drainage flooding in urban and low-lying areas.</p><p>No watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne County.</p><p><strong>The forecast</strong></p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 69 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.</p><p>Patchy fog is possible before 10 a.m. today &#8212; otherwise, mostly cloudy skies will become gradually sunny. The high will be near 76.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low around 52.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Thursday, and rain will be likely after 2 p.m. The rain could be heavy at times, and up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible. The high will be near 66.</p><p>Rain will continue to be likely into Thursday night, and it could be heavy at times. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 57.</p><p>Rain is expected to round out the week on Friday, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted.
