<p>JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) &#8212; A former Pennsylvania police officer and paramedic who now works as an in-home health care aide has been charged with stealing nearly $50,000 from an elderly patient.</p><p>Forty-eight-year-old Beverly Kegley faces a preliminary hearing Oct. 26 on dozens of theft and credit card fraud charges filed Tuesday.</p><p>West Hills Regional police say the Conemaugh woman stole the money by overcharging her patient more than $21,000 for health care services since April 2015, and about $28,000 more by using the woman&#8217;s automatic teller machine and credit cards without her permission. Among other things, police say Kegley paid for her family&#8217;s vacation to Ocean City, Maryland with the victim&#8217;s credit card.</p><p>Online court records don&#8217;t list an attorney for Kegley, who previously worked as an officer in Susquehanna Township. She doesn&#8217;t have a listed phone.</p><style>
