The Latest: Students look for guidance in 2nd day of strikes

KINGSTON, Pa. (AP) — A northeastern Pennsylvania middle school is starting cleanup of an extensive mold problem that shuttered the school last month. School district officials hope to reopen Wyoming Valley West Middle School in Kington in about four weeks. The Wyoming Valley West School Board on Wednesday approved an agreement to pay a company nearly $62,000 for mold remediation. Datom Products is to start the clean-up this week. The district closed the middle school Sept. 27 after the outbreak. The district started a split schedule Oct. 3 at a high school to accommodate the middle school and high school students. School board president Joseph Mazur has previously said the school would be closed "maybe for three months, maybe for six months, maybe forever."
